Ask Pastor Morgan a question today....
Pastor Morgan's blog promises to engage your heart and mind with Word of God for you and your family.
By divine revelation and illumination of the scripture by the Holy Spirit, God's word will be the answer to your question or any situation you and your love ones are faced with today. Praise be to God. Amen.
The Bible isn't some historical story about past events but it's literally, "our life." Instead of trying to find a solution to your problem, open the Word of God and expect a word from Him, for these very Scriptures intel your life story. Daily meditation opens your spiritual eyes, to see your "Ram in the Thicket," "Red Sea parted", and "Manna fall from Heaven." God always show up on time, never late, simply to remind us, that it wasn't our wishful thinking that caused miracles to happen, but only when we looked to Him, did He provide the necessary provisions for us.
God's ways are beyond our comprehension, He provokes things to happen in our favor, in the least expected ways, and if your not seeking Gods Word for your life, you can be denying yourself the greatest miracles known to man.
Feelings are fickle and fluctuate with the situation, consistently changing with our mood. In feelings, actions are always determined by the emotional state of the mind. Knowing, however, is a clear consistent thought, grounded in truth, that once received, links to an inner consciousness that also finds it to be true. Regardless, of the fits of emotional frailty that attempts to blind us from the truth, the truth yet remains, and it's when we calm down or become exhausted from our emotional roller coaster, that we realize this. God placed His Spiritual truth in us for our protection, even from our own inadequacies. Never accept fleeting thoughts as being genuine, but rest a moment in the stillness of God, and He will reveal to you, what your spirit already knows to be true.

One of the work of the Holy Spirit in the Life of a Believer is the work of " Sanctification". This implies that the Holy Spirit carries out the work of "Setting the Believer Apart for the use of the Father". Sanctification means to "Set apart for the use intended by its designer or a state of proper functioning". This implies that through the work of the Holy Spirit we are set apart for God and we are enabled to function in the very capacity that God intended for us as His Children. Since sanctification is not only the "act of setting apart" but also the impartation of nature, then through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit we recieve the same "Nature" of Holiness and Righteousness as the Father. Sanctification also being a call or command from the Father to His Children ( Lev. 11 vs. 44; Matt 5vs. 48 & 1 Peter 1 vs. 15-16) can not be achieve through natural means or human efforts but only through the divine work of the Holy Spirit (2 Thess 2 vs. 13 & 1 Cor 6vs.11).
How then do we know that a Believer is living a sanctified life?
1 Thess 4vs. 3: Establishes that such a Believer will abstain from sin
Romans 6 vs. 6: Conveys that such a Believer no longer allows himself or herself to be enslaved again to bondage, implying that a sanctified individual does not create self- bondage or re-engages in behaviors or actions / decisions that produces bondage in any form.
Benefits of the Sanctifying Work of the Holy Spirit:
A. 2 Peter 1 vs. 2-4: It enables you to become a partaker of the Divine Nature and also through it you will escape the corruption that is in the world.
B. 2 Tim 2 vs. 19-21: Through it you become a vessel of honor that God will use for His glory.
C. Acts 26 vs. 18: It gives you a special place in God.
D. Hebrews 2 vs.11: It results in divine pride and boasting over your life, as God takes pleasure in you as His child.
E. Romans 8 vs. 1-4: Sanctification free your spirit from condemnation and empowers your new life in Christ in its fullness.
Now, it is important that you allow the Holy Spirit to do His work in you, especially the work of sanctification for in doing so, you become the partaker of the Divine Nature.

As we continue to consider the topic we began discissing last week on "Knowing the Holy Spirit", I will like to point your attention to two scriptural text that I believe would help us understand another important "Ministry" that the Holy Spirit has towards the Believer.
Isa 11 Vs. 1-3 (NIV)
A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;
from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
2 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—
the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of might,
the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—
3 and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.
He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes,
or decide by what he hears with his ears;
1 Cor. 2 vs. 9 -13 (NIV)
However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”a — the things God has prepared for those who love him—
Isaiah Spoke about the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of Jesus when he stated that the Holy Spirit was to come upon Jesus as " The Spirit of Counsel and Might" which by implication is also the Holy Spirit ministry in the life of the Believer. So we could clearly establish that Christ was able to function and execute His ministry here on the earth and live His life here on the earth successfully as the Holy Spirit endowed Him with divine counsel. It is imparative then, to establish that the Holy Spirit is "The Spirit" of Counsel. As the Spirit of Counsel, the Holy Spirit is tasked by the Father to unviel unto us His Mind as it relates to all areas of our lives. It is important for you to kmow that God is very interested in all aspects of your life and has a good plan for you. However, these plans can only be revealed to you by the Holy Spirit as stated by Apostle Paul from the aforementioned Verses fronm 1 Corithains chapter two verses nine through thirteen. From this passage, we see that it is the Holy Spirit has exclusive right to" know" and "reveal" the mind of God for your life. The Holy Spirit plays a dual role when it comes to this ministry (A). He reveals the specific plan of God for your life in accordance to God's eternal purpose for you. (B). The Holy Spirit Counsels you as it relates to the Specific strategy or steps that you need to take / employ in order to recieve the full manifestation of what God has promised you.
What are the benefits of receiving counsel from the Holy Spirit, you may ask. (1) By His Counsel, victory is always grantee, and this is made possible because the Holy Spirit will always show you the best of choices to and decisions to make that would ultimately result in victory for you. (2). The Holy Spirit will always counsel based on what is consistent with the plans and purposes of God for you "Jeremiah 29 vs. 10 -11". (3). The Holy Spirit will always counsel you based on His infinite wisdom "John 16 vs. 13". The key element here is developing a "Relationship" with the Holy Spirit that would allow Him to partner with Him in all aspects of your life. I now employ you to not allow your mind-set to hinder you from knowing and partnering with the Holy Spirit in your life.
We have been considering in our new serise here at Rebuilders "The Person and Ministry of the Holy Spirt" John14 vs. 16 Jesus speaking to His Disciples before His Crucification said "And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, strengthener, and Stand-by, that He may remain with you forever" (AMP). By this statement Jesus introduced the Core ministry of the Holy Spirit for the Beliver. And for the Beliver to enjoy these ministries that the Holy Spirt is to offer, it is imparative that the Believer in Christ cultivate and forge a deep "Relationship" with the Holy Spirit by: (1)Having a Relationship with Jesus Christ (2) Developing and maintaining a contiunal hunger for the word of God (3) Accepting the Person and Ministry of the Holy Spirit, which includes "Accepting that the Holy Spirit is God" and relating with Him from that premise. Let us consider practically each of these work that the Holy Spirit does for the Beliver:
1. Comforter: The Holy Spirt brings comfort to you as you go through life situations and circumstances by " Illuminating your heart as to the truth of God's promises concerning that situation and cicumstance" thereby giving you peace in the mist of the storm. (Eph 1 vs. 15 -21)
2. Counselor: The Holy Spirit counsels you in the way you should go, implying that He advices you in what is best for you, by infussing your heart with wisdom and understanding on how to interact with life situations. (Isa 30 vs.21)
3. Helper: The Holy Spirit helps you by coming through for you supernaturally with favor, especially in those moments that you have lost all hope and lack the resources necessary in order to obtain your goals in life.
4. Intercessor: The Holy Spirit does this work for you so effectively according to Romans 8 vs. 26 -27; and it is note worthy to state that one of our greatest challenge is to "Pray" when it seem that all hope is lost and keep our faith alive in God when we can not see the way. It is at such times that the Holy Spirit comes to our aid and bears our weakness and burdens by interceeding for us according to the will of the Father.
I will consider the remaining ministry of the Holy Spirit to you the Beliver in our next blog, however, may I ask you "If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?" because none of these benefits of knowing the Holy Spirit will be possible in your life without a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Remember that God loves you and has a good plan for your life (Jer: 29 vs. 11).
